AMY E. BOYD

A Helena native, Amy E. Boyd received her B.A. in English from Arkansas State University in 1997. Ms. Boyd is a 2001 graduate of the William S. Boyd School of Law of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she received a SNAWA Scholar award and Congressional Recognition from Congresswoman Shelley Berkley.
After law school, Ms. Boyd worked in drug court for the Honorable Jack Lehman and served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jessie E. Walsh in the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County, Nevada. Ms. Boyd began her legal career in Las Vegas as an insurance defense attorney in the areas of medical malpractice, professional liability, and insurance bad faith litigation. Having worked for Los Angeles-based law firms, Ms. Boyd has trial experience in both state and federal courts, and has litigated cases in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, family law, criminal law and business disputes. Ms. Boyd has successfully resolved cases in arbitration and mediation for both plaintiffs and defendants.
Ms. Boyd returned to the Delta and established a general solo practice in 2011. Ms. Boyd represents individuals and small businesses throughout the State of Arkansas in a variety of legal matters. Ms. Boyd is a certified attorney ad litem in both domestic relations and dependency-neglect cases, and is a certified educational presenter of Families First co-parenting classes through arkansascoparenting.com.
Ms. Boyd has spoken on a variety of legal topics, including health care law, landlord/tenant law, construction change orders, medical malpractice, family law, and attorney ad litem ethics. Ms. Boyd currently serves as the City Attorney for Elaine and Lexa, Phillips County Deputy Prosecutor, and County Attorney for Phillips County.
